Blood Disorders

Blood disorders

Blood disorders are a type of dysfunction which affect blood one of them is anemia. Anemia is a sickness during which the amount of red blood cells, erythrocytes as they are also called, is below the standard levels. Erythrocytes are responsible for oxygen transportation in the organism.

Different types of Anemia exist, but the most common is iron deficient anemia. This disease is connected to lack of iron in the human organism. Mostly it is related to blood loss, young age and pregnancy. The symptoms of iron deficient anemia are: fatigue, breathing troubles, weakness.

It is very dangerous to underestimate such a type of anemia. Iron insufficiency may lead to delays in developing and growing or heart murmur. For pregnant women it may result in the premature delivery risk or problems with the weight of a baby.

As it was mentioned in the beginning, the red blood cells are responsible for the oxygen transfer. The lack of oxygen may lead to arrhythmia or even heart failure. When having iron deficient anemia, it is obligatory to consult a doctor and begin treatment.
